Job Description

Redaptive is searching for a dedicated and talented Account Manager - (Data as a Service) to align with our new and existing customers to drive satisfaction and ensure ongoing successful commercial relationship account expansion. 
Reporting to the Director of Business Development of the Redaptive Technology Group, the Account Manager is responsible for managing commercial aspects of the customer relationship as we implement contracted Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) offering – which incorporates IoT energy and water metering along with software analytics – and pursuing further opportunities for expansion within each customer account.   
This is an external facing role that requires working with existing customers as well as internally with Redaptive’s Sales, Customer Success, Project Delivery, Legal, Safety, and Finance teams.   In this role you will have an opportunity to contribute in a direct and visible way to Redaptive’s top and bottom-line by successfully driving DaaS deployments and managing customer relationships to profitable completion and renewals.

Job Responsibilities

  • Continuously engage and collaborate with customers to drive Data as a Service expansion with additional metering, additional sites and implementation of new DaaS technologies (e.g., water, gas, and other sensors)
  • Own customer expansion and act as the main point of contact for the customer for commercial activities after the initial sale
  • Build and maintain customer trust that results in a mutually fruitful commercial relationship
  • Lead customer post-contracting kickoffs, ensuring customers are well supported and communicated with through the DaaS project deployment progresses through the stage gates
  • Complete and execute appropriate pre-install SOW’s and site exhibits. Drive general buy-in and excitement from non-decision-making stakeholders on DaaS project to motivate post-install involvement and ownership
  • Ensure Customer administrative experiences are smooth and efficient 
  • Establish open, thorough, and productive communication with customer and internal parties, including the Design, Project Delivery, and Customer Success teams
  • Assist all Redaptive internal teams with customer barrier removal during the deployment process
  • Ensure project audits and punchouts are completed and appropriate site acceptance documents are executed
  • Ensure the appropriate information is entered and updated through the customer journey in Salesforce and be an excellent note taker of customer interactions
  • Provide clear and consistent internal and external communication regarding the customer status both in formal and informal communications.

Job Requirements/Qualifications

  • 5-8+ years of experience in B2B Commercial & Industrial Sales and/or Account Management in energy industry
  • DaaS or SaaS Account Management a plus but not required
  • IoT Hardware, Controls, Energy Management or BMS experience is a plus but not required
  • Ability to break down complex structures into relevant points for a diverse set of stakeholders. Strategic relationship management and trust building  
  • Prioritization skills and project management skills to drive output from multiple workstreams and various support team members as well as customer and partner with skillful follow-up
  • Strong quantitative analysis and quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills
  • Commercially minded, anticipating customer need in big picture 
  • Superb probing and listening skills to anticipate customer needs 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong presentation building and delivering.  
  • High standards for self and others; Strong ambition to succeed; Driven and hard working
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills
  • Salesforce a plus
  • Willingness to travel up to 25-50%
  • Have an ergonomically correct and functional work-from-home workstation set up; amenable to working from home for the foreseeable future
