We are looking for a Senior Payroll and Benefits Analyst to join our team. The goal of the Senior Payroll and Benefits Analyst at Wisk is to administer and oversee the company’s payroll processes and benefits programs. You will be part of the People Operations team supporting the organization through a period of exciting growth.

The goal of the Senior Payroll and Benefits Analyst at Wisk is to administer and oversee the payroll process ensuring timeliness and accuracy along with developing competitive and creative Benefits programs to attract and retain top talent. 
  • The successful candidate is a self-starter with 7+ years of experience in payroll and benefits. In depth knowledge of Payroll and HR systems, reporting (excel) and best practices in payroll and benefits. 
  • The Senior Payroll and Benefits Analyst will direct and plan the day-to-day operations of all payroll and benefits activities in collaboration with the HR team, other key stakeholders, and our third-party vendors. 

What you will do:

  •  Reporting to the Total Rewards Leader, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate administration of multi-state payroll processing and Benefits Administration in Namely or similar environment. 
  • Prepare, review, and process payroll, including but not limited to base pay, bonuses, commissions, payroll taxes, employee changes, new hires, and deductions like 401K, medical, and H.S.A. 
  • Analyze and resolve escalated payroll issues and timekeeping inquiries from employees and people leaders
  • Responsible for ensuring that all tax obligations are met, and all tax reporting is filed timely and accurately
  • Update and maintain Payroll SOPs and provide process training to People Leaders and People Ops for timekeeping and data entry
  • Work closely with Benefits and Payroll vendors to ensure all electronic data files are set up for accuracy and efficiency
  • Manage the billing and payment process for payroll and benefits vendors
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee benefits for both internal and external stakeholders and maintain strong relationships with third party vendors
  • Support the design and administration of other benefits programs such as 401(k), Health and Wellbeing, etc.
  • Creates regular payroll summary reports for Finance and People Ops as needed

What you have done:

  • At least 7 years’ experience in Human Resources, Accounting or Business Administration
  • At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in payroll, benefits administration, or human resources 
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, HR, or related field such as business administration. 
  • Hands-on experience with payroll software like Namely, ADP, Workday, Ceridian, etc.
  • Advanced working knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing, and payroll/timekeeping programs.
