Vice President of Manufacturing & Operations

Rondo Energy's mission is to eliminate 15% of global CO2 emissions in 15 years.

To accomplish this mission, Rondo is deploying low-cost, zero-carbon Rondo Heat Batteries to accelerate the deployment of renewable energy and to significantly decarbonize industrial processes that are commonly thought of as "difficult-to-decarbonize". The Heat Batteries are charged from intermittent renewables to provide high temperature, continuous heat for customers safely, reliably, at an unprecedented 98% efficiency, and at a cost point that is lower than any other method.

Rondo is currently seeking a Vice President of Manufacturing & Operations to help drive the mission of the organization.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Lead, build and manage business operations, including supply chain, logistics, facilities, IT and EHS.
• Oversee all manufacturing operations, including production, quality, manufacturing
engineering, equipment specification and tooling development.
• Increase efficiency, quality and decrease cost of manufactured components through
process and equipment improvements and innovations.
• Manage and execute multiple projects and teams in line with wider company goals, set clear goals, timelines and priorities for maximum impact with limited resources, monitor progress and costs.
• Ensure a culture of the safety of people, infrastructure and equipment and compliance with regulations while ensuring the production of quality components in alignment with project and engineering timelines, getting hands-on as necessary.
• Build and implement QA/QC capabilities internally and externally, as needed.
• Monitor manufacturing performance and proactively identify efficiency, cost and other issues. Propose and implement solutions.
• Interface with engineering to implement, test and scale new processes, equipment, or products.
• Identify, hire, train and develop productive team members.
• Identify and qualify suppliers and partners.
• Represent company for external and internal needs, interface with customers and vendors both domestic and overseas.

The ideal candidate will have:
•10+ years of experience deeply engaged in managing, improving and/or scaling manufacturing operations or scaling engineering projects to high-efficiency manufacturing processes.
• Have significant experience in running business operations, including supply chain, facilities, EHS and other areas.
• Broad knowledge of techniques, tools, equipment and suppliers related to large volume production of refractories, metal components and other related areas is desired.
• Proven ability to innovate solutions, getting hands-on as necessary.
• Proven track record as a team leader with an understanding of best management practices.
• Ability to set priorities and overall strategy and drive process improvement in a rapidly changing environment.
• Demonstrated project and budget management skills.
• Experience building strong teams.
