Location: Remote

Pivot Bio is offering a full-time, paid summer internship in Business Development, a team that focuses on new ways to innovate our products, business models, and the partners we work with.  You will work with our small team exploring new markets and opportunities internationally, providing additional insights from market research to help the team form business hypotheses and test assumptions.  Our team thrives on collaboration and communication and this internship provides an opportunity to make a contribution to where we steer our business strategy in new markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare research briefs on customer segmentation and business strategy in new areas.
  • Generate potential go-to-market strategies and participate in team discussions and debates.
  • Assist in scouting and researching potential partners that complement our products and goals. 
  • Support in contacting and scheduling conversations with important potential partners, developing and curating leads.
  • Investigate industry trends with fertilizer and shortages. Who are the key government actors or organizations that are publicly taking action?
  • Ask insightful questions that move our team forward

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Pursuing an MBA or recent graduate in a related field, business development, market research
  • International experience a plus
  • Experience with row crop agriculture a plus
  • Clear communicator, detail oriented
