Casual Positions Available working in our Soil Laboratory

We are seeking technicians to assist in running standard soil analysis processes in our laboratory based in Orange, New South Wales.

Key activities include:

• High-throughput sample preparation including drying, sieving and sample labeling
• Assisting with the maintenance of a soil storage bank of processed samples
• Maintenance and operation of drying ovens, soil sieves, shaking equipment and other laboratory equipment
• Maintaining laboratory cleanliness and hygiene standards

Requirements

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for periods of time, lifting etc.)
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment is a plus
• Communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to safety rules
• Apprenticeship or specialization is an asset, but not necessary
