SUMMARY

The Asset Management department is a growing organization with a vision to continuously enhance the performance of Nexamp’s growing solar PV and battery storage assets. The Portfolio Analyst will work within our Asset Management Group to support the financial modeling, performance optimization, and reporting obligations of our operational Solar PV and Battery Storage portfolios.

In this role the analyst will lead the day-to-day management of a 330 MW DG portfolio of both solar and storage assets. They will update budget to actuals, identify underperformance, and communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders. They will own the project model and update it for both investors and debt providers with new information and assumptions. They will work with subject matter experts within the asset management and accounting teams to constantly optimize the financial performance of the portfolio. They will look for re-power and re-capitalization opportunities with the support of our Capital Markets and leadership teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The role will be responsible for:

  • Own portfolio-level financial models
  • Assist asset management teams with budget to actual updates and annual budgeting process
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for debt and equity investors
  • Highlight and investigate underperformance and optimization opportunities
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts to convert performance variation into actionable intelligence
  • Coordinate with project accounting teams to identify and explain discrepancies and portfolio trends
  • Coordinate reinvestment and re-capitalization opportunities with other business units
  • Build relationships with debt and equity investors

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Studies or related field
  • 0 - 2 years of investment banking, valuation, accounting, asset management, quantitative analytics experience or relevant coursework preferred
  • Some experience with financial modeling or capital budgeting
  • 1-3 years in asset management with a focus on debt and equity investment management
  • Experience with renewables such as Operations and Maintenance, project financing, development, policy or similar
  • Experience with Annual budgeting, Recapitalization & Tax equity preferred
