About the Role

We are looking for a Sr. Compensation Analyst who will work with partners and stakeholders across the organization to drive data-driven decisions. This person’s primary responsibility will be to help execute the compensation strategy for Spin including job evaluations, trends analysis, incentive plan research and design and statistical analyses of market data. Stock and benefits administration experience is a plus. 

This is a hands-on technical role that is primarily responsible for consulting with Talent Acquisition, HRBPs and managers to recommend new hire and promotional rates on a continual basis. Research and resolve pay issues and develop plans to mitigate wage compression and design programs and methods to attract and retain employees in a highly competitive market. Advanced knowledge in and extensive experience with Google Sheets and/or Excel required to conduct internal pay equity and adverse impact analyses. Key Responsibilities:
  • Research, recommend, develop and implement new compensation policies and programs both domestic and international. 
  • Audit jobs for alignment with global leveling structure and works with management to resolve inconsistencies. 
  • Assist with completion of annual compensation surveys. Determine if adjustments to Spin’s pay structures are needed and create communication and implementation plans as applicable. Review proposed salary adjustments for conformance to established guidelines, policies and practices. 
  • Recommend corrective or alternative actions to resolve compensation-related problems. 
  • Reviews requests for new or revised classifications to determine appropriate salary grade assignment. 
  • Formulates recommendations regarding FLSA exemptions, job revisions and organizational structures. 
  • Reviews existing and proposed statutory requirements governing compensation administration and recommends appropriate courses of action. 
  • Prepare special studies and recommendations on subjects such as equity incentive plans, bonus plans, or sales compensation. 
  • Prepares and conducts organization-wide training on compensation strategy, practices and methods.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • B.S. in Human Resources, Finance or Accounting and 5+ years of experience analyzing high volumes of data using Excel or Google Sheets, or any combination of education and experience that contributes to the successful performance of job duties.
  • Advanced skills in Google Sheets or Excel required to conduct statistical analyses (e.g., multiple regression, adverse impact, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – experience working with business stakeholders and senior leaders.
  • Able to coordinate multiple projects and prioritize a variety of incoming requests.

  • Experience in complying with CA Equal Pay Act
