Job Summary

As a member of the Software Engineering team, you will report to the Sr Engineering Manager and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition, and Design across Regrow’s product offerings.

What you will do:

• Developed well-tested client-side web applications and reusable UI components using TypeScript, React, Leaflet and others
• Ensure all features are tested properfly via Cypress, Playwright, etc.
• Work with backend and other frontend. You are familiar with API patterns and back-end frameworks and languages.
• You strive to write performant, maintainable, and well-documented code that is easy for others to use and understand.
• You are expected to have deep front-end knowledge, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a desire to continually improve yourself and those around you. You will partner with UX designers, product managers, and engineers across the organization to gain empathy for both internal consumers and external customers and develop solutions that are delightful experiences for everybody.

Qualifications: 

• 3+ years of commercial experience with React & Typescript
• Extensive experience with testing frameworks like Cypress, Experience building statistical, machine learning, and/or simulation models using remote sensing datasets.
• You are a strong verbal and written communicator. You can lead both synchronous and asynchronous technical discussions and document both the decision process and outcomes.
• You have worked closely with other engineers, product managers, and UX designers to understand and balance the needs of both internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent English language presentation and communication skills

• Used Leaflet and other mapping UI tools
• Knowledge in agriculture or science background
• Ability to apply standard software development processes and clearly document results.
• Familiarity with Google Earth Engine or other cloud-based satellite imagery analysis environment
