Description

Cervest’s marketing team has high aspirations for awareness, lead generation, and category leadership. We are looking for an experienced Content Manager to create blogs, ebooks, whitepapers, videos, and podcasts to help us achieve our ambitious goals. As Content Manager, you will be responsible for managing the ideation, creation, and distribution of Cervest’s lead generation and thought leadership content. Harnessing insights from our climate scientists, technical experts, and external thought leaders  from organizations like the Alan Turing Institute and from Cervest’s Climate Intelligence Council , you will be tasked with telling important stories about the impact of climate change on the world’s assets (i.e. buildings, power plants, factories, transport networks. forests). You will be responsible for setting the content strategy, building and fine-tuning content funnels, and measuring performance. You also will have the chance to establish your own content team, working with the CMO and other team members  to identify the skills and traits you need to build a high-performing team. Finally, we will give you the autonomy you need to be creative, and the support to navigate our fast-moving business. 

Main responsibilities

  • Setting the annual content strategy - covering content pillars, social, newsletters, SEO, executive thought leadership and audio/visual - designed to drive awareness, MQLs/SQLs and category ownership
  • Creating and editing content including blogs, ebooks, guides, podcasts, and videos and optimizing for distribution channels like social and our newsletter
  • Educating company stakeholders on the content strategy and motivating colleagues to contribute articles and other content pieces
  • Maintaining a consistent rhythm of content publishing to support our channels 
  • Develop a deep understanding of customers, products and the buyer’s journey and translate that knowledge into compelling content that generates leads and drives brand awareness and thought leadership
  • Make data-driven budget recommendations on current and future content needs, including technologies and tools, and partner with the CMO on budget ownership
  • Managing internal and external contributors to produce high-performing content with a consistent voice 
  • Work closely with leadership to align demand generation efforts with positioning, messaging, and other sales and marketing programmes
  • Monitoring and reporting content performance to the marketing team
  • Identify needed vendors and manage relationships

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in B2B content marketing 
  • Deep knowledge of developing and executing a content strategy 
  • Track record of building content to accomplish company goals and generating inbound leads
  • Willingness to experiment, optimize, and adapt to the team’s changing needs and priorities
  • Experience using Google Analytics, SEMRush, HubSpot, or comparable marketing analytics and distribution tools 
  • Excellent writing skills spanning different media including blogs, guides website language
  • Appetite to develop new skills as the role requires
  • Comfort working remotely and in a fast-paced scaleup environment
  • Strong project and people management skills
  • Entrepreneurial and results-oriented 

Nice to have:

  • Webinar and video production experience 
  • Experience developing podcast content

We are a remote-first company and are hiring across Europe, the USA and beyond. We are looking for a candidate who is comfortable working in a remote setting and with a diverse team distributed across multiple time zones. This job requires minimum travel for occasional regional or global team retreats only, using more sustainable transport methods (we’ll help with that) so generally within one time zone of the UK.
