The position emphasizes collaboration with clients, engineers, surveyors, and project managers to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of projects that meet regulatory standards.Essential Duties &amp; ResponsibilitiesProject Design and Development<ul><li>Design and construction for stormwater systems, water/wastewater treatment, distribution and collection systems.</li><li>Design, and construction support for municipal and private development projects such as green infrastructure, sediment and erosion control, utility services, construction details, stormwater management, wastewater systems and grading design.</li><li>Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using tools like HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and SWMM.</li><li>Generate H&amp;H reports detailing modeling process, results, recommendations, and their compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.</li><li>Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for utility projects.</li><li>Lead plan set development to ensure the plans convey the design intent and meet the goals of the project</li></ul>Technical Duties<ul><li>Provide technical support on water resources or treatment issues to government agencies.</li><li>Construction project specific cost estimating, development of project specifications, and preparation of bid documents</li></ul><ul><li>Preform water quality studies to identify and characterize water pollutant sources.</li></ul>Compliance &amp; Permitting<ul><li>Prepare permit applications, including EPA PTI, stormwater management plans, floodplain permits, NPDES permits, and other regulatory compliance documentation.</li><li>Ensure all designs comply with industry codes, standards, and regulations</li></ul>Communication &amp; Collaboration<ul><li>Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other engineers to deliver projects within scope and budget</li><li>Deliver client-focused solutions by ensuring project milestones are met, building strong relationships, and maintaining rigorous quality standards</li></ul>RequirementsMinimum Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required.</li><li>Ohio Professional Engineer (PE) license or E.I. with the ability to obtain P.E. within 12 months.</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>A minimum of 3 years in Site/Civil Engineering</li><li>Ability to understand and follow complex written and oral instructions and the ability to clearly communicate information both verbally and in writing.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Demonstrated experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D for civil engineering-related projects including stormwater and hydraulic design.</li><li>Familiarity with GIS software</li><li>Experience working with municipal, state, or federal clients.</li><li>Knowledge of industry standards, such as ASCE, AWWA, and EPA regulations.</li><li>Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, or SWMM.</li><li>Design experience with grading/site design, green infrastructure, and/or stormwater management.</li></ul>Desired Skills:<ul><li>Excellent technical writing and presentation abilities.</li><li>Ability to work independently and in team settings.</li><li>Passionate about their community and their profession; eager to learn, mentor, and grow within the organization.</li></ul>Work EnvironmentWe enjoy and appreciate collaboration as a team and expect great communication from the candidate.  Teamwork is anticipated through one on ones with staff but will also need to occur through many phone and text/email conversions.
