Job Description

We are seeking a Material/Logistics Coordinator. You will be based in our office in Natick, MA, and report to our Lab Operations Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Carry out all Material Management duties (60%):

  • Supervise and coordinate the appropriate processing of purchase requisitions, receiving, reports, inventory/R&D requisitions applicable to items maintained.
  • Maintain an informal Inventory Management System until the ERP system is formalized and implemented throughout facility
  • Supervise and coordinate the taking of periodic physical Inventories; prepare reports of inventory balance, shortages, and other financial data as required.
  • Work with Production and Facility Manager to ensure that critical stock items and maintenance supplies are maintained within acceptable stocking levels.
  • Manage escalations for expediting & tracking critical part shipments.
  • Publish Policies and Procedures according to the guidelines set forth by management.
  • Ensure the purchase of materials and services are performed as required and consistent with policies and approval levels.
  • Use computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, email and database software and performance of assigned work.
  • Monitor and support the activities of personnel engaged in buying materials, equipment, machinery and supplies.
  • Follow all HSE policies that pertain to the warehouse.

Carry out shipping and receiving duties (40%):

  • Work closely with Supply Chain, Shipping & Receiving, Manufacturing, QC, and others to ensure accurate PO transactions and related paperwork are provided for all shipments, inclusive of Bills of Lading, Packing Slips, etc.
  • Process all daily shipments via UPS, FedEx, or by use of freight couriers as required.
  • Order and maintain all the materials necessary to support all shipments (boxes, packaging materials, tape, labels, etc.)
  • Process all daily receipts of incoming raw material.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. A degree or specialized training preferred
  • 2+ years of inventory experience required in an ERP setting.
  • Strong understanding of the function of Inventory Management, Shipping/Receiving
  • Previous forklift license or willing to obtain a forklift license at location. To include the ability to operate all material handling equipment operated in the Supply Chain Warehouse Operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Products (Outlook, Excel, online Project tracking platforms)
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
