Why we need you

  • The Sr. Software Engineer is responsible for developing and delivering the safety critical aircraft avionics software that controls the aircraft from origin to destination. The successful candidate will have proven experience developing requirements and executing design, coding, and integrating safety critical systems software. 

What you will do:

  • Join the Avionics and Control Systems SW team to develop safety critical software.
  • Take part of the Model-Based Development team to help solidify the Model-Based Development process per DO-178C and DO-331.
  • Support creation of High-Level Requirements, Low-Level Requirements, Design/Design Model for Software.
  • Support Software-to-Software, Software-to-Hardware, and/or System Integration.
  • Work closely with the Systems Engineering team for System flow-down requirements.

What you have done:

  • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Science.
  • 3-5 plus years of experience with embedded systems/software development.
  • 2 plus years of experience with MathWorks Model-Based Development tools, i.e. Simulink Requirements, Check, Coverage, Code Inspector, Test, Report Generator and/or Polyspace Bug Finder, Coder Prover.
  • Experienced with Model-Based Development processes for Certifying aerospace control systems.
  • Knowledge of DO-178C and DO-331 for software development and Model-Based Development, and verification.

Desired:

  • Experience with MathWorks DO Qualification Kit to support DO-178C tool qualification. Familiar with DO-330.
  • Embedded software development experience with C or C++ language.
  • Experience with FAA Stages of Involvement audit as lead and/or participant.
