SUMMARY

Nexamp is seeking a Sourcing Intern to assist in implementing procurement support on a tactical level with the opportunity to become an instrumental part of daily Sourcing activities including analyzing and reporting data, managing RFQ process, purchase creation and maintenance, negotiations, and supplier management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with onboarding and evaluating new equipment vendors 
• Maintain and update vendor database with required documentation for internal stakeholders 
• Submit RFQs to current Nexamp equipment vendors across multiple equipment categories  
• Assist with preparing and submitting purchase orders to vendors 
• Communicate with vendors on open order reporting 
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders on projects schedules and equipment delivery requests through weekly scheduled meetings  
• Maintain and update standardized operation procedure (SOP) documentation for Sourcing team 

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, self-motivated, hands-on, results-oriented, and a team player. Key qualifications are as follows: 

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in Supply Chain, Finance, or Business related discipline  
• Vendor management or logistics management experience, preferred  
• Proficiency and experience in MS Office required (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)  
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively coordinate with internal teams and external partners  
• Strong organizational and time management skills  
• Strong interpersonal skills
