Operating at the corporate level, this role does not manage day-to-day site operations; instead, you will architect the overarching EHS&amp;S Management Systems, governance models, and compliance frameworks that enable Sila to safely develop and scale its technology across R&amp;D and high-volume manufacturing.</p><p>As a master cross-functional orchestrator and executive communicator, you will lead through influence, partnering with EHS&amp;S site managers, R&amp;D, engineering, and operations to embed a rigorous culture of safety, health, and environmental stewardship into our commercial execution.</p><h2><span style="font-size:14pt;">Responsibilities and Duties  </span></h2><ul><li><strong>Enterprise EHS&amp;S Governance:</strong> Architect, implement, and continuously improve corporate EHS&amp;S Management Systems. Partner with site teams to define the global standards, policies, and continuous improvement frameworks (e.g., LOTO, Hazard Recognition, Compliance), and ensure they are executed across all sites.</li><li><strong>Strategic Sequencing &amp; Scale-Up:</strong> Partner with Operations and R&amp;D to sequence and de-risk EHS&amp;S workstreams required for technology transfer and manufacturing scale-up. Identify and bridge cross-functional gaps before they impact commercial timelines.</li><li><strong>Metrics &amp; Single Source of Truth:</strong> Design and maintain centralized enterprise databases, KPIs, and governance tools to ensure EHS&amp;S metrics, compliance data, and goals are synchronized across the organization.</li><li><strong>Executive Communication &amp; Risk Management:</strong> Act as the central point of accountability for enterprise EHS&amp;S program health. Distill complex technical and regulatory risks into crisp briefings for executive leadership, proactively facilitating mitigation strategies for cross-program roadblocks.</li><li><strong>Cross-Functional Decision Facilitation:</strong> Lead steering committees composed of EHS&amp;S site leads and other personnel to drive alignment on high-stakes EHS investments, corporate roadmaps, and risk prioritization.</li></ul><p><span style="font-size:14pt;"><strong>Knowledge and Skill Requirements </strong></span></p><ul><li><strong>Systems Architect:</strong> Proven ability to design and manage matrixed EHS&amp;S programs, ensuring corporate frameworks seamlessly support site-level realities without duplicating effort.</li><li><strong>Strategic Influence:</strong> Expert at driving alignment between executive leadership and technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Adept at balancing technical risk with commercial business objectives.</li><li><strong>Technical Translation:</strong> Ability to translate complex environmental regulations, technical engineering data, and occupational health risks into clear, actionable business insights.</li><li><strong>Ambiguity Management:</strong> Highly comfortable steering critical safety and sustainability programs forward during rapid company scale-up and evolving regulatory landscapes.</li><li><strong>Industry Experience:</strong> 10+ years of professional experience building and scaling corporate EHS&amp;S programs within heavy tech, chemicals, automotive, or advanced manufacturing industries.</li><li><strong>Scale-Up Expertise:</strong> Minimum 5 years leading large-scale technical programs, with demonstrated experience supporting technology transfer from R&amp;D into high-volume commercial manufacturing environments.</li><li><strong>Education:</strong> Bachelor’s degree or higher in EHS, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering/technical discipline.
