About the role:

Cruise is seeking to hire an experienced and motivated technology resource to lead the Operations Technology (OpsTech) team within the IT Enterprise Business Technology organization. The OpsTech team owns Cruise’s internal supply chain, maintenance, repair, and operations infrastructure. We select, implement, and maintain the applications, platforms, and tools that enable the organization to do its best work. We do this by building world class technical solutions that are prepared to scale, are developed on a common set of data, and are seamlessly integrated. This role directly impacts Cruises commercialization systems.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work closely with compliance and security teams to ensure the Ops systems are compliant with data regulations, ITGC and security best practices, where applicable and required
  • Work in collaboration with other IT professionals for extended project staffing and support
  • Partner with other business teams to understand the requirements of new business initiatives and how those may impact OpsTech architecture
  • Lead annual, quarterly, and sprint planning for OpsTech
  • Own the execution of a multi-year OpsTech roadmap in line with business goals
  • Prepare and present executive summaries for project and run the business activities
  • Provide hands on support when needed and guide design suggestions
  • Deliver and measure continuous improvement by identification and design of both system and process improvements with the goal of providing an improved user experience
  • Develop domain specific conceptual architecture with an understanding of the data flow among existing and future systems
  • Drive technology assessments and participate in the purchasing process for new technologies in partnership with business partners
  • Oversee professional service engagements managing resource hours and overall project budgets

What you must have:

  • 10+ years of experience with Operational Technology in the main focus areas of Supply Chain and Maintenance Operations systems with 2+ years of that time spent in leadership and people management roles
  • Practice servant leadership
  • Strong business acumen with excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills in order to work effectively with management, vendors, and other cross-functional teams
  • Proven ability to deal with ambiguity in a rapidly changing business environment, resolve problems and offer impacting solutions
