About The Role:

We are seeking a working student to join our Collection Planning - Operations Team at Planet in Berlin. The ideal candidate will have a mix of curiosity and passion along with a drive for results. You will gain first-hand experience in numerous fields related to managing Satellite Image Acquisition Planning, Satellite Image Processing and Satellite Imaging Quality Management by supporting our operations team

Impact You'll Own:

  • Support Collections Planning team during operational planning process
  • Prepare Geospatial Data
  • Run & Interpret Standard Feasibility Runs
  • Support automation exercises
  • Perform Image Assessment
  • Gain Experience in an operational work environment
  • Discover Learning Opportunities in Space Business

What You Bring:

  • A strong belief in our mission, our values and in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. 
  • Studying Geospatial/Remote Sensing or related courses
  • Basic - good understanding of usage of GIS Tools
  • Flexible and able to react to change quickly and efficiently
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Accurate and reliable working ethic   
  • Highly motivated and proactive team player who is eager to learn
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Knowledge in Python other programming languages, SQL or Big Query are a plus
