Your role and your team: 

Reporting to the Team Leader Quality Inspection, you will be responsible to carry out operational quality inspections in shops,final assembly line and during Gnd Flight Test in accordance with company internal Processes and given ones by the Regulatory Agencies (EASA, FAA etc) to obtain and maintain the company approvals and certifications (EASA Part 21.G, FAA 14CFR Part 21.G, EN9100).

Our PO Quality Team taking care on Production Organisation and Repair activities is responsible for a wide range of tasks related to gain and maintain our Production Organisation Approval from the relevant regulatory bodies. As well as engaging with those bodies and supporting audits, our day-to-day work consists of managing quality conformance, quality escapes and inspection and certification activities within the Lilium production and flight test facilities. We also take care on employee authorisation and certification within Part 21G activities.

 

Your Day to Day:

  • Liaise with different areas of the production line and internal quality teams to integrate and carry out the inspection needs into the Lilium Production System.
  • Contribute to the development and integration of our Inspection management strategy and QMS documentation
  • Take care on required attestation activities on time and quality to meet production schedules
  • Conduct to internal and external audits in accordance with EASA Part 21.G and 14CFR Part 21.G regulations, and EN9100 standard for Production Organisation’s.
  • Manage quality and inspection escapes by non-conformity reports and concessions including validation and attestation
  • Analyze and interact with quality conformance team for corrective/preventive action plan against non-conformances raised during production ore in audits.
  • Coordinate day-to-day communication and need with our production teams
  • run and control the inspection planning, methods and technologies along the control plan; feedback on required control plan corrections/improvements to inspection quality team leader and Quality process Management
  • Support definition and control of inspection quality characteristics and conduct periodic quality reviews.
  • Support and mentor your and other team members in topics concerning Quality and Aviation Regulations for Production.

 

Your Profile:

  • Technician degree / professional education in Aerospace
  • Min of 5 years of experience in Quality inspection under POA or MOA certification ( showing a valid Part66 license as B1/B2 is a benefit )
  • Technical experience and certain degree of knowledge in electric, avionic, mechanic as well as structure is appreciated
  • Good understanding of Part21 and Part145 is mandatory
  • Experience with Non Conformity Reports and Concession processes desired
  • Experience with quality processes like CP, SPC, PPS welcome
  • Must be proactive, good communicator and able to gain credibility across all levels of the organisation.
  • Fact-driven, resilient, and personally committed to achieving success – without ego.
  • Must be a proactive, open, and direct communicator who engages comfortably and credibly with all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong motivation to help build and shape your organisation, structures and processes
  • High level of self-reliance with the ability to work in a team as well as autonomously
  • Target-oriented, driven workstyle with analytic problem solving skills required
  • Fluent English language skills are essential, fluent German or any other language would be beneficial 
  • Willingness to shift work
