(CVPR) Perception Internship/Co-op - 2023

In this role, you'll help us build novel architectures for classifying and understanding the complex and dynamic environments in our cities. You'll have access to the best sensor data in the world and an incredible infrastructure for testing and validating your algorithms.
Our Perception team has offerings within Radar/CAS and Vision; candidates will be matched to the team that best fits their skill set and interests.

Qualifications

• Currently working towards a degree in a relevant engineering program and within 1 year of graduation
• Minimum of a 3.5 gpa
• At least one previous industry internship or co-op
• Able to commit to a minimum of a 12 week internship
• Professional and positive communication skills
• Ability to relocate to the Bay Area, California
• Interns at Zoox may not use any proprietary information they are working on as part of their thesis, any published work with their university, or to be distributed to anyone outside of Zoox.

Technical Qualifications

• Proficient with C++
• Ability to solve hard problems using first principles, mathematics, and physics
• Experience working with software or ML systems that interact with real world sensors and noise
• Extensive experience with programming and algorithm design
• Strong mathematics skills

Vaccine Mandate
Employees working in this position will be required to have received a single dose of the J&J/Janssen COVID-19 vaccine OR have completed the two-dose Pfizer or Moderna vaccine series. In addition, employees will be required to receive a COVID-19 booster vaccine by the earlier of (1) April 15 or (2) within two months of becoming eligible for the booster vaccine.
