Job Description

We are searching for a Plant Controller responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial reporting, supporting manufacturing operations, managing finance operations, and safeguarding our assets.

You will be based at our office in Natick, MA (preferred), or San Carlos, CA, and will report to our Director of Finance. We're also open to remote candidates.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Build a best-in-class accounting function including:

  • Conducting the financial close timely to produce accurate monthly GAAP financial statements
  • Implementing asset tracking systems
  • Design processes to manage rapidly growing volume of transactions
  • Researching and executing significant accounting treatments for new, unique, and/or complex transactions
  • Manage finance operations including accounts payable, payroll, and eventually accounts receivable
  • Establish a strong control environment to safeguard our assets, particularly over cash, inventory, equipment, and supplies
  • Deliver actionable production analysis as well as other ad hoc reporting
  • Collaborate with FP&A, Manufacturing Operations, Procurement and other departments to assist with budgeting, drive resource planning, and support supply chain management
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal, state, and local taxing and labor authorities as well as other key external stakeholders
  • Direct, train and coach accounting team

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Manufacturing accounting experience with sound knowledge of inventory management, procure-to-pay, cost accounting, bill of materials, production planning, and work orders
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • US GAAP proficiency
  • MS Excel proficiency as well as other MS Office products
  • Experience with ERP systems including analyzing current capabilities and leading necessary changes

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certified Public Accountant in the US
  • Experience with multiple reporting entities, including subsidiaries and other related parties
  • Experience with NetSuite, MS Dynamics, Odoo, Procurify, etc.
