Senior Product Designer - Design Systems (m/f/x)

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer focused on design systems to join our design team, and work together with our community of product designers and engineers. You will drive the evolution of Ecosia’s design system and be an advocate for system thinking, process, and collaboration throughout Ecosia’s products. 

YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE AN IMPACT:

• Plan and define Ecosia’s visual language throughout our products.
• Collaborate closely with product designers, engineers, and brand & creative stakeholders.
• Grow our design system infrastructure for engineers (based on Storybook) and designers (Figma library) and have an impact by improving internal processes, and making users happy through consistent visual communication.
• Refine and maintain an easy-to-use contribution model for designers, while collaborating closely with your engineering counterpart.
• Provide regular feedback and mentor designers and engineers in applying systems thinking.
• Create and contribute to design system documentation, onboarding, and training materials.

YOUR AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE:

• You have 5+ years of product design experience, and 2+ years of working directly with design systems.
• You champion systems thinking and are able to take design solutions across different products and applications.
• You have an exceptional eye for detail and proven visual design skills.
• You have extensive design systems knowledge in terms of standards and best practices, including design tokens.
• You are a pro at Figma and, as a plus, have experience with Storybook.
• You have strong collaboration, communication, and facilitation skills.

Process:- First, a call with our recruiter (30 mins)- Portfolio Review with Lead and Product Designer (1.5 hours)- Pair working session with one of our engineers (1.5 hours)- Culture Interview with our CPO (45 mins)

The salary range for this role: €60,000 – €75,000
