Job Description

We are looking for a Drilling Subcontractor Manager to manage the development, growth, onboarding and relationship management of our drilling subcontractor network. You and your team will also coordinate day to day scheduling operations and quality of our subcontractors.  In current markets you will look to expand subcontractor options to allow for additional capacity and/or more competitively priced partners while maintaining high quality output. You will support new market expansion by understanding the driller subcontractor market in each possible market and do short and long term development of partners in those markets. You will report to the Senior Director of Install Operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Increase the number of subcontractor partners in our current territories 
    • Negotiate and on board additional drilling subcontractors
    • Manage new partner from spot capacity to recurring capacity with signed MSA
    • Communicate with Operation and Commercial teams most urgent areas capacity is needed 
  • Manage the relationships with current subcontractor partners:
    • Meet regulatory with each partner to understand their needs
    • Increase quality of projects and communication with each partner
    • Make sure there is a mutual understanding of capacity and backlog for each partner
    • Manage ongoing negotiations and updates to pricing and MSAs
    • Handle escalations from customers to ensure they addressed appropriately and understood by our subcontractors
  • Understand subcontractors available in expansion markets
    • Develop relationships with subcontractors in markets we are considering entering
    • Understand costs associated with each and help develop market entry pricing and strategies
  • Maintain up to date records for all subcontractors
    • MSA’s
    • Individual  project contracts,
    • Purchase Orders
    • Log project related email dialogs
    • Completed work documentation within customer folders
    • Current and past insurance certificates and policy information
    • Current work agreements and documentation

About You: 

  • You have 3-5 years experience in scheduling and coordinating work with subcontractors
  • Experience as a General contractor is a plus 
  • You have experience negotiating contracts with subcontractors and managing onboarding of new subcontractors
  • Communications skills- you able to form and express decisive opinions in a collaborative, clear, and approachable manner 
  • You have handled escalations in the field in a timely and professional manner
  • You are a problem solver - you see an issue and try to come up with the best solution or know who to call to resolve
  • Attention to detail is a must. In this role, you need to be a “safe pair of hands” 
  • You have experience working cross functionally with internal stakeholders to deliver results and ensure a ‘best-in-class’ customer experience
  • Prioritization and resilience- you understand when and how to manage to a tight timeline while maintaining standards of excellence. 
  • You have experience utilizing and updating CRM and reporting software- a plus
