The Client Management position is based in the Momentum office in downtown Sacramento. Client Managers are expected to work in the office three days a week and may be required to \to the Bay Area and various project sites throughout California. 

 About the Role:

Examples of what a Client Manager’s work includes on a day-to-day basis:

  • Developing relationships with existing customers to identify their goals and objectives related to a renewable energy and zero-emission transition
  • Presenting and demonstrating the value of products and services to existing clients
  • Staying current on company offerings and industry trends
  • Creating new business opportunities with existing customers
  • Creating and managing a public funding campaign to support the client’s objectives
  • Socializing clients and their projects to state and federal agencies
  • Managing the budgeting and contracting of new projects
  • Managing strategic long-term projects
  • Supporting Momentum’s business development activities
  • Building long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with external contacts and internal departments

Here at Momentum, our Client Manager works directly with clients to learn their goals and identifying which Momentum services will best help the client meet them. Their duties include regularly meeting quotas, helping clients understand the limits of their budget or resources and ensuring the Momentum team is meeting project deadlines laid out by the client.

A Client Manager is responsible for fully understanding a client’s needs and determining whether a business can meet those needs. A Client Manager oversees a team to ensure the company’s products or services are delivered on time, on budget and up to the client’s standards.

 We expect our Client Managers to have many of the following attributes:

  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills supporting the development and roll-out of unique, new services offered by the company
  • A passion for renewable energy, alternative transportation, and clean tech
  • A high capacity for juggling multiple initiatives, projects, and clients simultaneously, all with varying needs and often under significant time pressure
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication, tailored appropriately to numerous key players both inside and outside of the organization
  • An unparalleled sense of individual ownership and pride in all work product

Reporting Relationship:

Our Client Managers report to the Vice President, Ethan Hanohano.
