About the Role:  

The Commission Analyst will be primarily responsible for analysis & administration of the Sales Incentive Compensation Plans for our global sales organization. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong attention to detail and experience administering complex Incentive Plans. This role will collaborate in a team environment with various levels of management. Impact You’ll Own:

  • Execution of sales compensation strategy in partnership with sales operations strategy, sales leadership, finance, HR, and legal teams
  • Sales Compensation Design and Implementation (15%):
    • Assist in planning and managing quotas and quota setting
    • Build detailed compensation guidelines and provide policy training to sales organization
    • Lead and manage key deliverables of sales compensations, commissions, incentives, and programs in a high growth business environment
    • Be the subject matter expert on all sales compensation plans, while also gaining a comprehensive understanding of the sales process and drivers of the GTM
  • Monthly Global Compensation Administration (60%):
    • Review and validate data required to calculate commissions and MBO Bonuses
    • Own and manage the regular commission processes such as data compilation, participant setups, commission/bonus calculations, audits, review of compensation costs and payments, data integrity, and compliance with SOX, policy and compensation plans to ensure timeliness and accuracy
    • Provide ongoing support on various commission issues and exceptions
    • Provide world-class customer service to our Sales organization and internal customers
    • Continuously monitor and proactively improve our compensation and incentive processes through systems implementation, standardization, and automate commissions processing
    • Implement new and improved sales compensation systems for tracking business performance, attainment, compensation policies and payouts
  • Reporting and Audit (25%): 
    • Report and analyze sales headcount and capacity
    • Improve our systems to manage global headcount planning and expand reporting capabilities around headcount
    • Develop effective presentations for senior leadership and articulate hypothesis, insights
    • Support ad hoc projects and report requests, as needed

What You Bring:

  • 3-5 years of experience Finance & Accounting, Corporate Finance or in similar business functions for a data subscription, SaaS or an Enterprise sales organization
  • Previous work experience and working knowledge of sales compensation process and analysis
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Self-starter who requires minimum direction and/or supervision
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to support and prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Experience with core systems including (Anaplan, Xactly, Salesforce, Clari, Workday, JIRA, Greenhouse, Tableau, Google Data Studio, or other business intelligence platforms)  
  • Experience using SQL and advanced Excel to extract and manipulate dataBachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Math, related field or equivalent practical experience

Compensation (only applicable for Colorado applicants):

The base pay range targeted for this position in Colorado is: $60,300 - $122,000. This role is eligible for bonus and equity.

The actual offer, including the compensation package, is determined based on multiple factors, including experience, location, and other business considerations.

Planet is registered as an employer in many, but not all, states. If you are not able to work from a state where Planet is registered, you will not be eligible for employment.
