Rad Power Bikes has grown to 500,000+ customers, leading a global revolution in low carbon mobility. We are looking for RADICAL people to join our global teams: Responsible, Approachable, Diverse, Innovative, Customer-Driven, Accountable, and always Learning. As a Staff Accountant, you will provide support for the accounting function in day-to-day operations and monthly close of Rad Power Bikes. Your support will include owning global cash reconciliations, accounts receivable and cash collection, assisting with order to cash processes, fixed asset management, ASC 842 lease accounting and credit card program administration.  Ensuring timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close in your areas of support, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and overall maintenance of your accounts.  Support the team with reporting for internal and external customers.

Additional Requirements:

  • 4-year degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience
  • Proficient in Excel formulas and functions
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Other duties as assigned & required

  • You have worked with Netsuite, or other ERP systems
  • Prior experience with cash reconciliations, credit card program management, and fixed asset maintenance
  • You have a strong foundation of knowledge of GAAP (Generally accepted accounting principles in the U.S)

Had you been with us last month, the top 5 things you would have impacted are:

  • Assisted the systems team with the implementation and transition of employees to a new credit card program in the US and Canada
  • Maintained all lease accounting schedules and reviewed leases to assess proper accounting treatment in accordance with ASC 842.
  • Accurate recording of the cost of newly-acquired fixed assets (both tangible and intangible), tracking existing fixed assets, recording depreciation, and accounting for the disposition of fixed assets.
  • Completed weekly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate available cash balance for management for all subsidiaries including Canada and the Netherlands
  • Assisted with investigating and reconciling deposits associated with a customer’s payment
  • Coordinated with our systems team to discuss customer payment automation initiatives and assist with system error processing
  • Completed a month-end close cycle, including documenting reconciliations and investigating any unusual items
  • Identify areas for efficiency and improvement as we continue to scale
  • Worked on cross functional project teams to advance various Company-wide initiatives and programs
