Job Overview:
The Senior Principal Thermodynamic Process Engineer is responsible for leading the process design efforts of R&D post-combustion carbon capture facilities and other advanced decarbonization technologies. The Process Engineer will have knowledge of how to take an industrial project from concept to install and operation. This role will be in charge of defining system process requirements, generating detailed P&IDs, leading HAZOP analysis, and ultimately ensuring the system is designed to meet project objectives.

Essential Responsibilities:
Lead process engineering efforts on large-scale R&D carbon-capture projects.
Provide significant technical leadership in the developing of sustainable commercial products and technologies.
Create, execute, and improve thermodynamic process simulations for pilot-scale, demonstration, and commercial projects, systems, and new products.
Develop and execute techno-economic optimization and sensitivity analyses of systems, facilities, and equipment designs.
HAZOP analysis
P&ID generation
Define control narratives
Identify and propose solutions to key technical risks.
Invent new system components based on analysis tools and results.
Analyze system, product, and equipment performance
Create detailed cost models for facilities and system designs
Work with vendors to negotiate equipment procurement
Assist in model validation of experiments.
General Requirements and Job Details:
Must be able to work at a computer for up to eight hours per day
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
This position is based out of our Arvada, Colorado offices
This position has a standard schedule of Monday through Friday and is Full-Time
This is a salaried position so there may be times when a non-standard schedule is required
This is an Exempt position with a salary range of $130,000 to $140,000 commensurate with experience
