Job Overview:
The Software Developer will work as a member of the Modeling and Simulation Team to develop software to simulate and optimize Carbon America’s products and services, i.e., cryogenic carbon capture and related technologies. This position will own the development and maintenance of custom software created in modern programming languages, including Julia, Python, and JavaScript. Critical to this role is knowledge of software-development best practices in a team environment. This role will be responsible for the application of programming standards and ensuring a well-tested and documented code base.

Essential Responsibilities:
Develop software in Julia for simulating physical phenomena and engineering processes
Apply best practices for achieving computationally efficient code
Assist team in maintaining organized and user-friendly code
Coordinate team’s use of github issues and pull requests
Maintain code-base tests and continuous integration infrastructure
Build and maintain a database for experimental data and model results
Develop graphical-user-interface software for in-house engineering software
Develop interactive visualizations of experimental data and model results
Work in a highly dynamic environment and be flexible to manage and execute multiple projects in parallel
General Requirements and Job Details:
Must be able to work at a computer for at least eight hours per day
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
This position is based out of our Arvada, Colorado offices
This position has a standard schedule of Monday through Friday and is Full-Time
This is a salaried position so there may be times when a non-standard schedule is required
This is an Exempt position with a salary range of $90,000 to $115,000 commensurate with experience
