Job Overview:

The Facilities Manager is responsible for designing and defining requirements for injection sites and surface facilities at COinjection sites as part of the Project Execution team here at Carbon America. You will ensure facility compliance with regulatory requirements, review and develop project plans including cost estimates, timelines, and blueprints.

To be successful in this role you must have the motivation and passion necessary to learn all aspects of carbon capture and sequestration project development, be flexible and adaptable, be a team player, and balance ever-changing priorities. This is a staff position that reports to the EVP of Project Execution. This can be a Junior or Senior role depending on your experience level.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Required

  • 4-12 years in a Facilities Engineering role
  • Experience in planning and construction of industrial facilities, logistics or deployment of complex structures in rural locations
  • Experience analyzing data, including financial, to inform operational decisions or activities
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent ability to manage details and many moving parts
  • Demonstrated strong project management skills with the ability to execute on-time and on-budget
  • Excellent communication skills (written, oral, and active listening)
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • BS in a related engineering field

Preferred

  • Experience with CAD Design
  • Knowledge of gas gathering and CO2 flooding

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead planning and construction of surface facilities at CO2 injection sites including pumps, structures, injection surface piping, access roads, and electrical service. Includes planning, cost estimating, scheduling, and construction supervision.
  • Develop engineering design and specifications, including design and selection of materials and equipment.
  • Provide input into business plans, including project recommendations, cost estimates, and economic justification.

General Requirements and Job Details:

  • Must be able to work at a computer for up to eight hours per day
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States 
  • This position is based out of our Arvada, Colorado offices
    1. Periodic travel required.
  • This is a Monday through Friday, Full-Time, Exempt position with a salary range of $130,000 to $170,000.
