Job Overview:
Carbon America is seeking a Pipeline Engineer to support our project execution teams. The main responsibilities include pipeline design, supporting permitting initiatives, managing contractors and consultants, and managing pipeline operations. Projects range in size and complexity.
This position can influence the growth and success of the Facility Engineering Group. This position reports into the VP of Projects.

Essential Responsibilities:
Execution of pipeline engineering efforts
Assist with pipeline construction design including plans and profiles
Pipeline surface facility design (metering and regulating stations, storage field upgrades, and compressor stations)
Coordination of Proposals, Scope Development, Cost Estimates, Scheduling, and Contractor Management
Surveying
Geotechnical investigations
Design Firms
Material and equipment procurement support
Assist with coordination of design activities with other disciplines (Facilities, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation and Control, etc.)
Coordinate reporting activities for accurate and on-time completion of pipeline activities and apprise Project Manager of cost/schedule impacts.
Develop and improve internal processes
Provide leadership, training and mentoring to less experienced engineers and team members
Regularly meet and correspond with clients or outside personnel
Provide short term field support during construction
Support Permitting and Land Teams
Support business development and marketing initiatives
General Requirements and Job Details:
Must be able to work at a computer for up to eight hours per day
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
This position is based out of our Lakewood, Colorado office
Travel is required to project sites. Travel is expected to be intermittent with an average of 20% travel time
This is a Monday through Friday, Full-Time, Exempt position
This is a salaried position so there may be times when a non-standard schedule is required
The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000. Salary commensurate with experience.
