We are currently looking for a Director, Category Marketing.
The Category Marketing Director will be part of the US marketing team responsible for portfolio strategy, innovation, shopper marketing and business performance across all categories NotCo plays in the US. This position is located in the New York metro area.
Specifically, you will:
·       Leads portfolio strategy and innovation pipeline, owning the innovation process from briefing to execution coordinating the development funnel and P&L with multi-functional teams being the primary liaison with sales, finance, growth, operations, and R&D.·       Define and implement a go-to-market strategy to build awareness, purchase intention, and trial for NotCo product categories in the US, as well as build and implement shopper marketing programs to all accounts.·       Build and implement customer selling decks with compelling stories for NotCo’s product categories, build and manage sell-in calendar and meetings, and support sales with sell-in materials and product demos.·       Leads category performance analysis, shopper insights, and consumption data.·       Briefs and coordinates with the brand team and media team on retailer-specific integrated campaigns in digital, social, PR, and in-store. ·       Create promotional programs for short-term sales push, including online, point of sale materials, couponing programs, demos, and scaled sampling.·       Define brand and product messaging platform per category to engage and educate consumers and convert to sales. ·       Think strategically and creatively about new ways to introduce our brand and products to new customers/vendors with increased relevance.·       Marketing budget owner
The ideal candidate will:
·       7+ years in category marketing/shopper marketing roles, with responsibility for category P&Ls, innovation process, and portfolio strategy.·      Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or applicable major.·       Possess commercial and financial acumen, understand and support sales in managing the commercial lines of a product P&L.·       have a growth hacking mindset, is data-driven, with the ability to plan, execute/iterate, measure, and adjust the plan at speed accordingly to commercial and brand KPIs.·       be hands-on, orchestrating internal and external networks when needed, not reliant on retainers and continuous partners. ·       be an independent, creative and diverse thinker.·      excel in a start-up environment and is excited to create new procedures and processes from scratch and has a strong entrepreneurial mindset.·      be a problem solver, have a general manager mindset, and take the initiative to get the job done.  Possess strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.  Have excellent presentation and influencing skills and the ability to work collaboratively in an open and cross-functional environment·      have strong planning, project management, and execution skills and the ability to articulate where and how you have used them.·      be a natural leader who works well in teams and cross-functional groups in a matrixed environment both regionally and globally.  They will be agile, adaptable, and thrive in a dynamic and changing culture.·      Authorization to work in the U.S. required We are an equal opportunity employer.
