We are looking for a Senior Member of Technical Staff to join our team to help drive solid electrolyte preparation activities to efficient sustain, improve methods and support development of processing techniques to increase product performance and reliability.
Role and Responsibilities: •Develop and optimize scalable suite of ceramic processes that are aligned with the platform goals•Qualify and introduce scaled-up processes to align with ramp plans•Establish quality control specifications for the processes and materials of interest
Minimum Requirements:•M.S. or higher degree in ceramic engineering, materials science, chemical engineering, or a related field, and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in ceramic processing•Work history in a manufacturing or process development environment•Direct experience with synthesis and characterization of battery materials and in-depth knowledge of electrochemical testing•Aggressive and results driven approach to problem-solving•Strong data analytical skills for experiment planning, data analysis, and process control•Clear written and verbal skills to logically communicate observations and thought processes.
Highly Desired:•Ph.D. degree in materials science, ceramic engineering, or chemical engineering preferably with experience in solid electrolyte's sintering/processing. •Experience of leading junior level engineers or technicians•Passion for making an impact on the world’s energy challenges
Physical Requirements:Ability to perform work in a clean room, glovebox, dry room, or fume hood that requires the use of fine motor skills for extended periods of time, standing, reaching and twisting motions with hands and lifting up to 15 lbs.
