Leveraging strategic sourcing best practices, the Logistics Procurement Manager supports RAD’s Global Logistics team with analytics, industry insights, category strategies, vendor management and facilitation of competitive bids. The ultimate responsibility is to secure the best-in-class transportation partners and solutions at competitive rates to maximize value for the transportation function. This is a critical aspect of RAD’s business, ensuring inbound supply chain performance for our fulfillment operations, as well as outbound performance for all customer delivery channels.You will partner with RAD’s Business leaders to determine the best strategy to support growth and cost-containment requirements, execute competitive bids, and secure the right carriers and solutions to deliver the desired results.

Why You’re Rad (about you):

  • Strategic Sourcing, RFI/RFP/RFQ Facilitation, and Negotiation
  • Everyday execution requires confidence, heightened curiosity to dig deep into the business, action-orientation, and effective communication and project management skills
  • Engage deeply in the business to understand needs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and performance improvement
  • Monitor macroeconomic trends and cost drivers (fuel, labor, capacity) to inform the sourcing and negotiation process
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders to define sourcing strategies that unlock potential from within our operations
  • Work to ensure processes improvement are addressed cross-functionally as part of vendor onboarding
  • Independently manage multiple, complex sourcing events, ensuring the highest standards of objectivity, fairness, and ethics
  • Use analytics to provide sound recommendations for negotiation and awards
  • Uphold RAD’s principles with emphasis in ethics and sustainable practices in the transportation arena

Additional Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or Operations
  • Minimum five years of professional experience and two years procurement experience preferably working within the transportation field
  • Proficient in use of all common computer Microsoft Office software applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

You get bonus points for:

  • Consumer goods or consumer electronics industry experience
  • E-bike or related industry experience

Had you been with us last month, you would have:

  • Developed procurement logistics commercial targets for the second half of 2022
  • Completed a new rate card methodology for NA distribution
  • Started contacting targeted Freight Forwarders and align with them on next steps
  • Lead conversations with some of our key partners on reporting and cost issues
