Rad Power Bikes has grown to 350,000+ customers, leading a global revolution in low carbon mobility.  We are looking for RADICAL people to join our global teams: Responsible, Approachable, Diverse, Innovative, Customer-Driven, Accountable, and always Learning.   Our Cargo Claims Coordinator’s primary responsibility involves the investigation, process, and recovery of claims in Rad’s transportation network both inbound and outbound flows. The role will require the individual to work cross-functionally with: Customer Service, Supply Chain, Accounting, Legal, as well as our carrier partners and 3PLs to ensure claims are processed in a timely manner and recoveries are properly accounted.

Why You’re Rad (about you):

  • Manage all administration for cargo claims
  • Evaluate claims, determine the best approach for resolution, and maintain claims statuses
  • Research and evaluate evidence to make handling decisions for customer claims
  • Systematic and periodic follow-up with relevant parties until claims are closed
  • Work with clients, carriers, and agents as needed to educate on the claims process
  • Strive to maintain Rad’s best interests in the process of claims
  • Demonstrate the ability to successfully obtain recoveries from responsible parties in a timely manner
  • Clearly communicate the basis for any concerns or issues arising from cargo claims
  • Proactive identification of opportunities for process improvement, and communication to Supervisor
  • Shape the design of our packaging and initiate internal discussions based on actual cases

Additional Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or Operations or equivalent.
  • 2 years minimum experience managing cargo claims
  • Demonstrate understanding and knowledge of basic computer programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, and various internal systems
  • Willingness to assist with various other teams or sections of the Risk Management department as requested
  • Ability to understand, manage, and prioritize with a sense of urgency

You get bonus points for:

  • Consumer goods or consumer electronics industry experience
  • E-bike or related industry experience

Had you been with us last month, you would have:

  • Designed the way Rad Power Bikes processes and recovers outbound claims
  • Worked on reducing the inbound log of exceptions (shortages and overages)
  • Recovered claims and maintained dashboards that specify recovery rates and overall performance of our claims
