We are seeking a full-time Director, Product Compliance to join our team. This director-level role is responsible for leading a Product Compliance Excellence Program that ensures product quality provides the foundation of delivering an unrivaled customer experience.  This role reports to our VP, Supply Chain. 
You will regularly collaborate with our Chief Product Officer and team to ensure we maintain a high quality, cost effective supply base that is able to deliver components to meet our manufacturing needs and produce products that meet or exceed our rigorous standards.  You’ll manage expectations for our vendor’s performance and further enhance our quality standards.  

Why You’re Rad (about you):

  • 10-12 years experience with sourcing materials globally, having managed cost & quality; specifically relating to mechanical and/or electrical materials
  • 10-12 years experience communicating and collaborating with top level department heads
  • Experience defining and implementing quality & compliance processes for components through to finished goods assembly; as well as having guided and lead a QA team on regulatory, safety and product compliance standards in North America and EU
  • Capable of developing and ensuring quality and compliance standards encompass industry best practices and that supplier communications are clear and up to date
  • Experience developing vendor agreements to properly reflect the expectations of the business, including performance KPIs, fixed and variable costs, lead-times, manufacturing capacities, testing, quality standards and ongoing performance needs
  • Previously defined the vision around quality and built the strategy, team, process and tools to achieve it; defined quality metrics and set goals against them

Additional Requirements:

  • B.A./B.S. in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field / applicable degree or equivalent professional experience in power sports/automated products
  • 30% travel requirement
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent written, verbal, and professional communication skills

  • Problem solving skills
  • Comfortable working independently while still being an active contributor on collaborative teams
  • Knowledge of bikes or ebikes

Had you been with us last month, you would have:

  • Partnered with assembly factories and component suppliers to improve the manufacturability, quality and performance of our bikes and accessories
  • Engaged with the Product Team to improve the manufacturability of our bikes and accessories
  • Researched and set international QA testing and regulations for our manufacturing partners
  • Brainstormed initiatives that drive improved performance across price, quality, and corporate social responsibility
  • Managed vendor business review process and implemented corrective action as needed to drive improved performance and / or quality
  • Other duties as assigned, overtime as required
