The purpose of this position is to aid the engineering team and facility team to maintain the lab and facility assets and ensure these assets are in compliance and meet audit requirements. This is a part time position and weekly working time is expected around 20 hours.
Responsibilities
- Respond to engineering and facility asset inquiries and concerns from different departments
- Support engineering and facility teams to conduct lab and facility maintenance and upgrades. This includes but not limited to lab clear up and relocation, building remodeling and reconstruction, lab equipment and HVAC system maintenance and so on
- Support Lab Leader and Facility Manager to conduct building permit application and inspection
- Support engineering team to maintain multiple pieces of engineering equipment such as high voltage power supplies, chillers, electrical motors and so on
- Track engineering assets within the lab and conduct internal and external audits
- Maintain good documentation for maintenance records, audit reports, invoices and so on
- Provide other needed support to Lab Leader and Facility Manager
Required Qualifications
- A Degree in Engineering, Facility management, Asset management related field or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of professional experience in equipment and facility management
- Strong skills in teamwork and the ability to communicate effectively with peers, management, outside suppliers and others.
- Ability to support several projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel & Power Point.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with working in mechanical or electrical labs
- Experience with electric powertrains, motors or related products and equipment
