The OpportunityWe are seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist to take a key technical role within our Architecture &amp; Design Studio.This is a unique opportunity to:<ul><li>Lead technical delivery on complex, high-profile projects across multiple sectors</li><li>Drive excellence in BIM, digital design, and technical delivery</li><li>Contribute to the growth of our Industrialised Construction strategy incorporating Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) and DfMA approaches.</li><li>Help shape the future of technical design within a globally recognised design practice</li></ul>Working closely with our Digital &amp; Technical Leadership team, you will play an important role in advancing technical standards, delivery innovation, and design quality across the studio.You will join a high-performing multidisciplinary team spanning architecture, engineering, digital, and consulting services, working on some of the most technically complex and innovative projects in the built environment.Your RoleAs a Senior Architectural Technologist, you will operate at the intersection of technical design, digital delivery, and construction innovation.You will:<ul><li>Lead the production and coordination of technical design information across RIBA Stages 3 to 5</li><li>Champion best practice in BIM, digital workflows, and project delivery</li><li>Support the development and implementation of industrialised construction, DfMA, and MMC approaches</li><li>Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and manufacturers to improve quality, efficiency, and buildability</li></ul>This role combines hands-on technical delivery with the opportunity to contribute to the evolution of how projects are designed and delivered across the practice.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Design Leadership<ul><li>Lead the production, coordination, and review of detailed technical design information across RIBA Stages 3 to 5</li><li>Deliver coordinated, compliant, and buildable construction documentation using advanced BIM methodologies</li><li>Provide technical guidance and problem-solving throughout project delivery</li><li>Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to resolve complex design and construction challenges</li><li>Support construction-stage activities, including RFIs, technical reviews, site inspections, and design compliance reviews</li><li>Ensure project outputs align with the Building Safety Act, Building Regulations, British Standards, and sector-specific technical guidance</li></ul>Digital Delivery &amp; Technical Excellence<ul><li>Champion BIM best practice and model-based project delivery</li><li>Support the development and implementation of digital delivery standards and workflows</li><li>Contribute to the advancement of automation, computational design, and emerging digital tools</li><li>Promote efficient, coordinated, and data-driven approaches to project delivery</li><li>Work closely with the Digital &amp; Technical Lead to drive continuous improvement and innovation across the practice</li></ul>Industrialised Construction &amp; Modern Methods of Construction<ul><li>Support the development and implementation of the Architecture &amp; Design Industrialised Construction Strategy</li><li>Embed DfMA, MMC, and industrialised construction principles into project delivery</li><li>Develop and maintain technical content, BIM libraries, reusable components, and standardised design solutions</li><li>Collaborate with manufacturers and supply-chain partners to integrate product and manufacturing knowledge into design workflows</li><li>Help drive greater efficiency, consistency, and quality through standardisation and digital-enabled delivery</li></ul>Quality &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Champion technical excellence and quality assurance across project teams</li><li>Review project outputs to ensure compliance, coordination, and buildability</li><li>Contribute to technical standards, design guides, and best-practice documentation</li><li>Support continuous improvement in project delivery methodologies and technical governance</li></ul>Collaboration &amp; Capability Development<ul><li>Mentor and support architects, technologists, and technicians across project teams</li><li>Share knowledge and best practice in technical delivery, BIM, and industrialised construction</li><li>Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture</li><li>Support capability building across technical and digital disciplines</li></ul>
