Remora is hiring a Social Media Coordinator who will focus on increasing brand awareness through the effective use of social media outlets all while helping to tackle the defining challenge of our time.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement social media strategy for Remora using different platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Tik-Tok)
Identify additional opportunities on social media and design a strategic approach to support Remora’s mission.
Managing a social media content calendar and updates to our website
Ensure our job boards and community relationships such as My Climate Journey, Affinity Groups, and Slack channels are updated with current job postings and press release information.
Work with creative services and/ or independently to create text, video, and graphic social media posts in the Wixom and Livonia shops.
Using social media marketing tools to create and maintain the company’s brand
Interacting with customers and other stakeholders via the social media accounts
Researching social media trends and informing management of changes that are relevant to the company’s marketing activities
Requirements:
BA in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
Must have interest and/ or experience in chemistry, science, and engineering.
2 years of experience working for a consumer-facing outlet, including experience managing social media platforms and tools

Understanding of/ proven expertise in social media marketing and social media platforms
Strategic thinking for developing effective marketing campaigns
Strong writing skills
Ability to study and interpret marketing analytics
Great organizational skills; ability to monitor multiple social media platforms concurrently
Excellent communication skills for reporting results and liaising with agencies and contractors
Adept at community building and keeping calm under high- pressure online interactions
Ability to develop original content and suggest creative ways to attract more customers and promote our brand to increase web traffic
