Sr. Director Product Management

Position OverviewStreetLight Data is seeking a Sr. Director Product Management to work with our web applications team to continue expanding our platform capabilities and commercialization to solve complex transportation use cases in StreetLight’s best-in-class transportation data platform. As part of our team, you will help shape the future of mobility and smart cities by ensuring successful delivery of the most innovative, accurate and comprehensive big data offerings in transportation.   
Reporting to our SVP of Product, you and your team will collaborate with our other product managers, product development, marketing and sales to research, define, plan, build, release and drive successful sales and adoption of specific features in Streetlight Insight®, our end-user application. 
Location: Remote in United States or Canada

What You'll Do:

• Manage a team of Product Managers, and Technical Documentation to support StreetLight’s web application platform
• Develop business cases, product requirements, design direction around new product ideas, and work with product team to prioritize them
• Work closely with data science Product Managers, Product Design and  engineering team to convert product requirements into detailed specifications  
• Deliver a commercialization plan of new features and metrics for the transportation industry and their integration into our platform
• Work with product marketing, sales and other cross functional teams in go-to-market activities
• Contribute and develop processes around sprint and backlog grooming, and roadmap development
• Communicate effectively across the organization to provide the appropriate level of transparency on upcoming Product plans, releases, & roadmaps to Executives, Sales, Customer Success, Support and others with a need to know
• Develop and maintain an intimate understanding of our Insight platform and end-user products including underlying data, validation processes, transportation metrics, calibration techniques and visualizations and their applications in customer use cases    

What You'll Need:

• 10+ years of product management experience in commercial software companies focused on big data, mobility, or navigation products and/or services that utilize machine learning in a quantitative field; experience in a SaaS product environment a strong plus 
• A proven ability to drive increased productivity, and roadmap momentum
• Experience in Agile Development methodologies is a strong plus with familiarity in tools like JIRA, Confluence, etc.
• BS or equivalent in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent a plus
• Demonstrated experience collaboratively working in a product development environment with data scientists, data / software engineers, QA and support to define and deliver products, manage release schedules and support Marketing and Sales in go-to-market education, training and launch processes
• Superior verbal, written and visual communication skills that enable you to clearly explain complex concepts to internal or external audiences through formal and informal, verbal and written presentations and reports
• Self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys problem-solving
• Open, honest, direct and respectful communicator, a collaborative team player that knows how to work with others to get things done in a positive manner
