Our unique culture fosters growth, development, education, and creativity.This position reports to a regional Environmental Health &amp; Safety Manager.  This role is onsite at assigned clients covering second (2nd) shift work in the greater Boston area and is based out of our Somerville, MA office. Essential responsibilities:<ul><li style="font-family:'book antiqua' , palatino , serif;font-size:14pt;">Support and conduct risk assessments of work areas, including laboratory areas, with hazardous or potentially hazardous processes as needed and/or requested.  Collaborate with research associates to implement control measures to lessen and/or mitigate risks associated with tasks.</li><li style="font-family:'book antiqua' , palatino , serif;font-size:14pt;">Measure occupational and environmental hazards, such as noise and ergonomics, using calibrated scientific equipment and/or collecting samples of dust, vapors, or gases according to a defined operating procedure.</li><li style="font-family:'book antiqua' , palatino , serif;font-size:14pt;">Measure the effectiveness of engineered control systems such as fume hoods.</li><li style="font-family:'book antiqua' , palatino , serif;font-size:14pt;">Conduct workplace safety inspections according to a defined procedure, evaluating the use and storage of hazardous materials, personal protective equipment, and safe work practices, according to applicable regulations.
