Job Description

Cleartrace, an Austin-based Climate Tech startup, is on a mission to help companies proactively decarbonize their energy consumption. Cleartrace allows companies to stand behind their claims of carbon reductions, sustainability, and renewable energy to prevent greenwashing and provide a source of unified, auditable truth.

We’re looking for a product marketer to help to the VP of Marketing, you will be a founding member of the marketing organization. You will have the opportunity to

Our industry is evolving very rapidly, so this role offers unlimited learning opportunities and a priceless chance to bring much needed change to an industry plagued by mistrust and fuzzy carbon accounting math.

We are based in Austin, Texas, but the role is open to the right candidate anywhere in the United States.  

Responsibilities​:

  • Product launch. You understand our market and know how to craft a go-to-market strategy to introduce new products and features for a successful launch.
  • Feature definition
  • Sales content
  • Partner marketing
  • Messaging
  • Customer research
  • Manage our internal knowledge
  • Competitive intelligence
  • Work closely with sales, customer success, and product to align our content programs with business goals
  • Evolve our programs and drive growth through content through testing and learning

Qualifications​:

  • You know how to differentiate products. You’ve run successful campaigns and can craft messaging that resonates with our audience.
  • You are a great communicator. You have great copywriting skills and can effectively communicate both internally and externally.
  • You understand the customer. You empathize with and understand our customers and it shows in your work product.
  • One part analytical, one part creative. You know how to get into the data on our market, our customers and our product usage to drive insights.
  • You see the forest and the trees. In other words, you understand how product marketing impacts our entire marketing strategy and you know how to execute at a tactical level to drive impact.
  • You are self-motivated, persistent, hard working, and a true team player.
  • You bring a problem-solving approach to marketing.
  • You have the ability to exercise judgment and solve difficult problems without direct supervision, comfortable with ambiguity.
  • You have prior experience in at least one of the following areas:
    • Energy Markets
    • Renewable Energy
    • Sustainability/ESG

Bonus:

  • Experience with modern marketing tools such as CRM, marketing automation, etc.
  • Passion for helping to address climate change
  • Experience working at a high-growth SaaS start-up
  • Experience working with an Enterprise product
