As the Strategic Finance Manager supporting the Corporate ESG Services business at Aspiration, you will work closely with the business segment leaders at  the Corporate ESG Services to drive financial planning, introduce scaling mechanisms, and provide quantitative rigor to enable the company to achieve revenue and profitability targets in this new business segment. 

What You'll Do

  • Support our business and develop financial models to assist in evaluating new business concepts, turning insights into operational measurements
  • Partner with the Business Development team to evaluate and model new business opportunities, provide feedback on proposed deal terms, and assess the impact on the company’s performance
  • Lead short-term and long-term segment financial planning;
  • Build financial models for new business concepts and ideas
  • Present financial summary and business insights to senior management; and
  • Tighten controls and processes for spending and revenue accrual
  • Support various ad hoc financial analytics including comparative analyses vs. peer groups
  • Analyze, help structure, and execute on carbon project financing mechanisms in conjunction with the Sustainability and Finance teams
  • Identify and execute on opportunities to engage US, regional or multilateral financing and insurance organizations as appropriate (e.g. MIGA, DFC)
  • Coordinate with Legal (external and internal) and Compliance on all aspects of the creation and execution of financing

What You'll Bring

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in Finance or relevant analytical field
  • Demonstrated ability to influence decisions through effective verbal and written communication, logical reasoning, and the presentation of alternatives
  • Exceptional business judgment capable of driving a diverse organization to the right results with a focused, pragmatic approach
  • Analytical expertise to understand and interpret financial models and analysis
  • Ability to collaborate and work with multiple internal and external constituencies
  • Ability to be a thought-partner with senior leaders
  • Superb organizational and planning skills
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA degree or equivalent years of experience
  • Experience in Sales analytics
