Job Description

Circuit is looking for a motivated, energetic, and forward-thinking person to join our team. The HR Manager will be expected to oversee, maintain, and execute all HR-related processes in support of approximately 300 employees across 6 states. The HR Manager will work with fellow leadership to maintain a thriving employment environment and will report to the Chief Operating Officer.

Circuit is changing how people move short distances by making transportation easier, greener and cheaper. Our tech-enabled, shared, electric shuttle services offer low-cost and eco-friendly rides in downtown areas around the US. 

We partner with Cities, Real Estate Developments, Transit Agencies, Community Organizations, Planning Departments, Hotels, Office Buildings and Apartment complexes to provide innovative, electric shuttle solutions that specialize in short-range (first/last-mile) trips. The services are funded via service contracts and subsidized by fares and/or advertising partners so it’s convenient, green, and always the most affordable way to get around.  

Our partners include: The Cities of West Palm Beach, Hollywood, Pompano Beach, San Diego, New Rochelle; Brightline Train Systems; shopping malls, hotels, stadiums, campuses, planned communities.

Job Description
(including but not limited to)

  • Create a strategic hiring plan for current and future growth

  • Development and implementation of human resources policies and  programs

  • Conduct candidate searches and interviews

  • Handle all onboarding, offboarding, and termination processes

  • Manage employee relations and disciplinary issues, coach and counsel managers and staff as needed, consult with legal counsel when appropriate

  • Handle the performance management process: 30-, 60- and 90-day feedback sessions held with new hires, annual performance reviews with all necessary paperwork for each employee file, performance issues or disciplinary action

  • Assist management in preparation and administration of compensation plans

  • Oversee labor law compliance 

  • Maintain proper personnel files

  • Distribute and manage employee benefits

  • Oversee employee compliance practices

  • Establish sustainable compliance processes

  • Lead regular audits of internal policies, processes, and employee paperwork

  • Action resolutions to issues or gaps found during audits

  • Keep a log of issues that have arisen but are not covered by the organization’s current procedures or policies


Relevant Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of  experience in human resources 

  • Experience with both exempt and nonexempt employees

  • Experience with multi-state organizations including California, Florida, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Texas

  • Excellent conflict resolution and problem solving skills along with a strong ability to negotiate

  • Knowledge of current industry trends as well as Federal and State legislation pertaining to all personnel matters and compliance

  • Personable and compassionate demeanor

  • Detail oriented

  • Organized

  • Familiarity with Slack, Rippling, Homebase, Microsoft Excel, Google Docs, Google Calendar

  • Ability to travel as needed across the 6 states California, Florida, New York, New Jersey


Location

Candidates should be based in one of the following locations: South Florida, New York Metro Area, Southern California. 

Circuit provides a flexible but committed work environment. The candidate will have a hybrid work schedule that will be both in-office and remote. The estimated time in office will be less than 35%. While we believe if you’re getting your work done then it’s less important where you do it, we do find value in time with the team and with customers.  

The national team usually travels at least once per quarter to attend the national meeting and candidates are encouraged to work from offices in South Florida, New York, Los Angeles or San Diego.


Compensation

Base salary is competitive and will be based on the candidate's background and experience.  The candidate will have the opportunity to earn commissions and will be eligible for Bonuses, contributions to Health Care, Phone, travel expenses.

The candidate will be eligible for 401k match plan, participation in employee stock option program.
