Job Overview

The Sales Coordinator is a key member of the sales team for SCS Consulting Services. This position is responsible for supporting sales, business development, and client service activities. This position works with and reports to the Director, ESG Strategy, and supports project managers throughout the company.

  • Climate & Greenhouse Gas Inventories
  • ESG Strategy and Materiality Assessments
  • ESG Standard, Policy and Procedure Development
  • ESG/Climate Target Setting (Roadmaps, SBTi, Net Zero, etc.)
  • ESG Reporting (CDP, Sustainability Reports – GRI, SASB, TCFD, DJSI, ESG Rating Agencies)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Compile prospect lead lists & profiles
  • Work with Directors and Managers to optimize marketing, analyze data, and funnel/qualify leads for the sales team
  • Draft outbound sales campaign letters
  • Follow up on lead inquiries from lists, resource webinars, training, and trade shows
  • Enter leads into Salesforce and maintain client information in the database including cleanup of outdated information
  • Develop and conduct email and phone campaigns to lead lists and profiles
  • Qualify leads; assess current audit status and interest in SCS auditing services
  • Support trade show preparation and follow up, including research/outreach to attendees and uploading leads into the CRM
  • Attend sales and marketing program meetings for relevant services
  • Assist in the compilation and development of materials including PowerPoint presentations and quotations
  • Collect data and statistics for sales forecasts and reports
  • Maintain Consulting division sales data
  • Draft proposals and work orders; conduct follow up on outstanding proposals

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1+ years of customer service or account support experience
  • Fluent in English in both verbal and written communication
  • Customer service focus; internal and external with proven results in high-level customer engagement
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, ZoomInfo, Excel, and Salesforce. HubSpot is a plus.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to complete tasks in a timely, efficient, and effective manner
  • Enthusiastic, resourceful, highly self-motivated, and a fast learner with a positive attitude and communication style
  • Experience and knowledge of key corporate sustainability/ESG concepts

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, sustainable business, environmental science or another relevant field
  • Proficiency in or 1+ years of experience with Excel and Salesforce

Physical Requirements

This is an office-based job. Sit 6+ hours per day. Keyboarding 6+ hours per day. Must be able to speak and listen in person and on the phone.
