About the Role:

The Product Operations Manager is responsible for managing and executing critical programs that impact company-wide KPI’s that interface with product, operations, data, and engineering team members. This role sits on the Product Operations Team within the Product division, and is tasked with understanding Operations teams’ needs, prioritizing those needs with product managers, and overseeing the execution of those initiatives. The Manager will be essential in sourcing feedback, developing solutions, and rolling out new dashboards, tools, and processes to Operations teams. 

Examples include: implementing third-party solutions, operationalizing data tools, developing and rolling out internally developed tools, and developing field-tested SOPs for operations staff.

Responsibilities

  • Own critical company-wide programs that require cross-functional collaboration (i.e. in-house task management system, loss management and mitigation)
  • Operate in a product ops function; source input from Operations teams, collaborate with product team to prioritize high-value requests, assist in developing and rolling out critical features 
  • Develop SOPs, lead trainings, and establish best practices around key initiatives for Market Operations 
  • Utilize spreadsheet formulas, macros, functions or other similar tools to build models that can be piloted while waiting for larger engineering solutions from internal or external partners
  • Speak with markets regularly to interview field staff and managers and to provide assistance in use of tools that help manage our assets and processes
  • Program manage critical company-wide initiatives at the intersection of operations, products, and engineering

Qualifications:

  • Technical or analytically focused business degree (Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Management, Statistical Analysis, etc.) or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of professional experience; project management / business operations / startup operations 
  • Excellent knowledge of foundational business concepts, including experience working with fixed vs. variable costs, scaling operations, and exposure to process optimization and business process modeling
  • Strong communication and intuition for strategy at every level -- within teams, within the company, to users, and other audiences
  • Strong EQ and a proven ability to work with stakeholders across departments
  • Ability to make things happen around you. You manage project ambiguity, complexity, and interdependencies in an organized and structured way.
  • Ability to zoom in and out rapidly, i.e. an ability to articulate a long-term strategic vision alongside an ability to develop the specific tactics to achieve that vision
  • Strong analytical and data processing skills; knowledge of SQL, scripting languages or data manipulation tools are a plus
