What will you do?

After completing a weatherization and heat pump installation project, Sealed builds a long term relationship with customers that can last up to 20 years. To support and deepen this long-term relationship, Sealed is hiring a product leader to focus exclusively on this post-installation experience. We need a seasoned product leader to define and execute our strategy to grow customer lifetime value through experiences and offers that are aligned with our mission to stop home energy waste in all its forms. You will not only build the strategy, but you will also lead a team that executes on that vision.  This is a career defining opportunity to attack some of the biggest challenges in the energy efficiency and home electrification space. As a Series B company, we plan to grow quickly over the coming years, and your leadership will be critical to that success. 

This role reports to the VP of Product, who oversees product, design, engineering and data science teams.

What success looks like

Your north star will be driving customer lifetime value through increasing retention, upselling additional electrification and clean energy solutions, and exploring integrations with energy markets. Practically speaking, this could mean working with Sealed customers in evaluating additional projects to complete their journey to full electrification, or other work that reduces energy waste or the use of carbon-based energy sources. In order to meet this challenge, you will work closely with other stakeholders in the organization to develop a customer lifetime value strategy and delivery plan.

Over time, through the product experiences you help create, more and more of our customers will continue to rely on Sealed to stop home energy waste, fully electrify their home, and find additional ways to eliminate their home energy and carbon footprint.

You will:

  • Own the product experience following initial project install and develop additional products that can be offered to stop energy waste and fully electrify the home
  • Explore lifetime value product opportunities and prioritize based on potential impact
  • Explore opportunities to work with and co-develop products with energy markets focused on demand reduction 
  • Lead cross-functional teams to launch and manage each new product experience
  • Measure and learn from new product launches and iterate the experience for maximum impact
  • Identify potential partnerships with other companies in the energy efficiency / electrification space and test new offerings with our customers
  • Promote an engaging digital experience that transitions every Sealed customer to a fully electrified home

Requirements

  • 8+ years of leading multiple product development team(s) in agile development environments
  • Extensive experience coordinating large, complex and timebound projects
  • Demonstrated potential at developing new product experiences, creating go-to-market plans, and executing very well on those efforts
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. You communicate clearly and effectively (both written and IRL) to engineers, CEOs, and everyone in between
  • New product development experience, with at least 2 years of experience at a high growth Seed, Series A or Series B company
  • A strong understanding of the climate-tech landscape and ideally first hand experience working for 2+ years in this industry
