Senior Art Designer

Our rapidly growing company needs a branding-minded Art Designer to help SparkCharge’s newly formed team reach its branding goals. You must be willing to wear multiple hats, including serving as the primary source for all graphics. You will be part of a creative/marketing team that is fast paced, datacentric, and focused on elevating the brand to the level it deserves to be. This job is fully onsite in Somerville, MA. Responsibilities:

• Deliver conceptually rich and visually impactful creative solutions
• Contribute strategic thinking to guide projects beyond their initial direction
• Provide graphics for social media, video, slides, print, websites, apps, etc.
• Help influence the Company’s overall creative strategy
• Shape the work for creative and marketing goals as applied to a variety of marketing platforms and touch-points
• Incorporate personal research of trends and of our competitors, to ensure that the SparkCharge and Currently brands stand out.
• Proactively look for creative opportunities that help solve business objectives, and improve on existing style and approach

Requirements

Candidates must have:

• More than seven years of experience in communication design, graphic design, UI/UX, and motion design
• High internal motivation—a self-starter.
• A demonstrated ability to keep projects on track, and a willingness to share incremental progress with others
• A portfolio of work that contains examples of Art Direction, Graphic Design, and digital campaigns across platforms.

Additional “Plus” Experiences include:

• Experience as a senior art director/designer
• Design, illustration, motion graphics experience
• Proficient motion design skill set using programs such as After Effects
• Trade show booth, collateral, social media, all forms of print and digital collateral design
