This role ensures the timely availability of materials while balancing inventory levels, supplier performance, and production schedules to support on‑time delivery and operational efficiency.<h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Plan and manage material requirements to support production schedules, demand forecasts, and customer orders</li><li>Analyze MRP signals and execute purchase requisitions, reschedules, and inventory balancing actions</li><li>Collaborate with Purchasing, Production Control, Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to resolve material constraints</li><li>Maintain accurate inventory levels to support production while minimizing excess and obsolete material</li><li>Monitor supplier performance, lead times, and delivery commitments; escalate issues and support corrective actions as needed</li><li>Review and adjust safety stock, reorder points, and order quantities based on demand and variability</li><li>Support new product introductions, engineering changes, and configuration updates affecting material flow</li><li>Ensure material planning data accuracy within ERP/MRP systems (e.g., IFS Cloud)</li><li>Participate in cycle counting, inventory audits, and root cause analysis for shortages or discrepancies</li><li>Generate and analyze reports related to material availability, inventory turns, shortages, and past-due items</li><li>Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on supply chain efficiency, cost reduction, and delivery performance</li><li>Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and export/import requirements</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or related field</li><li>2+ years of experience in material planning, production control, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment</li><li>Strong working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (IFS Cloud experience preferred)</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)</li><li>Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively across departments and with suppliers</li><li>Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment</li><li></li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience in aerospace, defense, electronics, or regulated manufacturing environments</li><li>APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP)</li><li>Experience supporting lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives</li><li>Understanding of BOM structures, lead times, and planning parameters</li></ul>Physical &amp; Work Environment Requirements<ul><li>Primarily office-based with regular interaction on the production floor</li><li>Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods</li><li>Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 lbs may be required</li></ul></div><h2>Training Requirements:</h2><ul><li>IFS Overview</li><li>Hazardous Communications</li><li>Quality Systems</li></ul>     #dgo  Teledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
