This individual will work closely with our engineering &amp; design, trades, and project management teams supporting real-world, client-facing project assignments across Re:Build Optimation’s capabilities in the industries we serve.What You Get To Do<ul><li>Support project teams in a variety of ways including but not limited to: requirements gathering, concept &amp; preliminary designs, process flow diagram (PFD) and piping &amp; instrumentation diagram (P&amp;ID) development, equipment specification &amp; selection, engineering calculations, bill of materials (BOM) creation, materials selection, code &amp; standard review/research, fabrication &amp; assembly support, troubleshooting, etc.</li><li>Develop drawings &amp; schematics utilizing CAD software/tools and process simulation tools</li><li>Support the development &amp; writing of technical reports &amp; project documentation</li><li>Work closely with a senior or principal engineer mentor to define and execute on personal and professional development goals</li><li>Participate in internal &amp; client project meetings and design reviews</li><li>Collaborate with project managers to plan, manage, and execute tasks</li></ul>What You Bring To The Team<ul><li>Currently pursuing a BS and/or MS degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an accredited college or university</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and personal management skills</li><li>Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment</li><li>Eager to learn and adapt in a fast-paced engineering environment; naturally curious</li><li>Experience with CAD software/tools; AutoCAD 2D/3D and/or SolidWorks preferred</li><li>Ability to be on-site at our offices in Rochester, NY and/or Rush, NY</li><li>Experience with process simulation tools; ChemCAD preferred</li><li>Prior co-op, internship, or relevant project experience supporting engineering &amp; design of industrial equipment and/or automation solutions a plus</li><li>Experience working with ISO9001 or similar quality system a plus</li><li>Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement tools &amp; methodologies a plus</li><li>Minimum GPA 3.0 preferred </li></ul>When: Spring, Summer, Fall 2027The hourly rate for this position is $21.00 - $25.00. This range represents the Company’s good faith estimate of the base compensation for this role at the time of posting.  Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location. In addition to hourly rate, this role may be eligible for annual incentive compensation and/or long-term incentives, subject to Company plans.
