Job Description

Who are we?

Sealed is a climate tech company on a mission to stop home energy waste and electrify all homes.

Sealed designs, manages, and finances home weatherization and electrification projects, making it easy and affordable for people to be more comfortable while using less energy. Our proven holistic approach can reduce energy use by 50% and takes a home completely off of fossil fuels with upgrades like high-performance insulation, air sealing, and heat pump HVAC. Our expert team designs the right solution, matches top-rated local contractors, and manages the project start to finish. Sealed covers the upfront costs, and we’re accountable to impact: if we don’t cut energy waste, we don’t get paid.

Sealed, one of Fast Company’s top ten most innovative energy companies of 2021, is venture backed and based in New York City. Learn more at sealed.com.

What will you do?

The Chief of Staff will be the right hand to our CEO and be involved in every aspect of scaling Sealed. Your role will span executive leadership team operations, board and investor relations, investment analysis, fundraising, business development, finance, operations, and more

In terms of emphasis, you will focus heavily on executive leadership team operations and behind-the-scenes support on fundraising and financial modeling. This role will leverage your analytical problem-solving and quantitative analysis skills. You will develop, author, and create presentations—conceptualize, lead, analyze, and present qualitative and quantitative plans.

You will also exercise excellent business judgment as you learn and navigate the executional operations of Sealed. Working cross-functionally will be a part of every day. This role requires rapid relationship-building skills and attentive listening abilities. You will read people and situations, figure out what needs to happen, and follow-through to ensure objectives are delivered.

Throughout each day, major themes will be proactivity and being one step ahead of our CEO to ensure business needs are anticipated. Please note that our CEO also has an Executive Assistant, so there will be a small CEO team working together.

Lastly, Sealed is a start-up evolving from an early stage towards an operationally scaling phase, so the greater context of navigating dynamic situations and ambiguity applies. You should be comfortable working in a fast-changing environment with an entrepreneurial approach.
