We are seeking a trusted individual to oversee the Operations Control Center (OCC) located in Scottsdale, AZ. You will make key decisions regarding fleet availability and resolve organizational, operational, hardware, and software constraints.
The OCC is the connective tissue for Markets, Commercial Operations, and many other organizations at Cruise. This team is immensely collaborative and will drive immediate, cross-functional response to nearly all events related to our operations, vehicles, infrastructure, environment, and people.
Working in a fast paced environment as the first point of contact for critical events that may impact safety, operational performance and reliability, public trust, etc.
Making real-time/short term operational modifications in response to incidents by providing appropriate guidance, coordination, and support
Meeting daily with senior leadership to inform and recommend organizational and systematic improvements; drive key organizational changes and improvements
Generating plans to optimize asset use given known constraints
Creating issue logs and driving action plans to closure
Developing and maintaining KPI reports, identifying trends, and recommending areas for improvement
Performing other job-related duties as required
7-10 years relevant work experience
Graduate degree or bachelors degree with equivalent relevant work experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Composure; ability to work under stressful or demanding operational conditions
Track record of being assertive, decisive, and proactive
Sound judgment and strong decision making skills
High sense of urgency and persistence
Confidence in dealing with people and building relationships
Analytical and structured approach to problem solving
Ability to give constructive feedback and challenge others where appropriate
Ability to interface well with various operations, engineering, and executive stakeholders
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage several events and situations simultaneously
Experience in an OCC or similar environment
Experience supporting rapidly scaling organizations
Experience in start-up or tech companies
Experience working in the autonomous vehicle industry
