Job Overview Aggreko is seeking an experienced Senior Control Systems Engineer to join the Eva Copper Project team in Brisbane and support the delivery of one of Australia's largest hybrid power generation facilities.  The project combines thermal generation, solar, BESS, industrial communications networks and balance-of-plant infrastructure. Reporting to the Project Engineering Lead, you will provide technical leadership across control system design, integration, testing, commissioning and engineering assurance.  The role includes both hands-on engineering and technical oversight of consultants and vendors delivering PLC, SCADA and industrial network systems. The primary PLC platform is Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley. Experience with hybrid power plants, renewables, BESS, microgrids and diesel or gas generation will be highly regarded.Benefits:<ul><li>Opportunity to be pivotal in the delivery of a land mark Renewable Power Project</li><li>Competitive compensation</li><li>Safety-focused culture</li><li>A range of career development opportunities</li></ul>           What you’ll do as Senior Controls System Engineer :  <ul><li> Lead the design, review and integration of PLC, SCADA, HMI and industrial network systems using Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley platforms.</li><li>Lead, manage and coordinate external control systems consultants, system integrators and vendors, ensuring alignment between PLC, SCADA, industrial network and OEM control system workstreams and driving technical integration across the project.</li><li>Provide technical leadership and review of control philosophies, functional specifications, network architectures and other engineering deliverables.</li><li>Coordinate interfaces between control systems and electrical, mechanical, thermal generation, solar, BESS and balance-of-plant systems.</li><li>Support FAT, SAT, commissioning, testing and troubleshooting activities to ensure successful project delivery</li><li>Ensure control system documentation, software configuration, testing records and handover deliverables are completed to the required standard You are:</li><li>A degree in Electrical, Control Systems, Automation or Mechatronics Engineering.</li><li>Strong experience with Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley PLC systems.</li><li>Experience with SCADA, HMI systems and industrial Ethernet networks.</li><li>Proven experience developing or reviewing control philosophies and functional specifications.</li><li>Experience managing consultants, system integrators or vendor technical deliverables.</li><li>Practical FAT, SAT and commissioning experience.</li><li>Strong communication skills and a practical, delivery-focused approach.</li><li>Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary controls delivery teams and coordinating multiple consultants and vendors on complex industrial or power projects.</li><li>Experience with hybrid power plants, renewables, BESS, microgrids and diesel or gas generation will be highly regarded.</li></ul><h1>Travel and Site Requirements</h1>This role requires frequent travel to vendor facilities and remote project sites for FATs, SATs, integration testing, site inspections and commissioning activities. During key pre-commissioning and commissioning phases, the role will operate on a 2 weeks on / 1 week off site roster.
